Hi, I’m Jordan Trudgett, I was born in 1991 and I was born in Australia. I’m currently living with my wife in Seattle, Washington. I graduated from Multimedia and Game Development (Dean’s Scholar) with Distinction at the University of Wollongong in 2011 and then Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) in 2011.
I have a lot of interests, but a few have become hobbies:
- Art: drawing, digital painting and photo manipulation
- Music and sound composition
- Programming, and in particular, video game programming.
- Writing my blog here.
You can read more about my work in these areas on their respective pages.
Apart from my study and my hobbies, I like to play games when I get a chance. I enjoy first person shooters, role playing, strategy, arcade, platformer and rhythm games. I play League of Legends semi-regularly.
I’m currently working as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon.
I’ve always loved making games. Before I started programming (and I’m sure a lot of kids did this) I made up games (board games, physical games, that sort of thing.) Growing up in the information age naturally drew me towards video gaming. To me, video games are wonderful as entertainment. The harmonious composition of images, sounds, music, story and interactivity makes an engaging experience that is virtually unparalleled.
For the last few years I’ve had a lot of interesting and different experiences which has changed who I am, but that’s life, right?
